My name is Dave O'Brien, and this is my personal website. Everything here is my opinion. You may not agree with it. That's your choice. Apart from comments left on the weblog, under no circumstances does any article here represent the opinion of anyone except me. My content is all copyright Dave O'Brien, all rights are reserved and commercial use or reproduction is stricty forbidden without authorisation.
Comments represent the opinions and beliefs of the comment authors and are copyright to those authors. The authors of comments are fully liable for any and all slanderous, libellous, or just plain wrong statements they make. I do not edit the comments, except to make long links into proper hyperlinks so that they won't break the page layout. I will also delete comments which I consider to be spam, i.e. attempting to use my bandwidth for advertising purposes. I do not exercise any editorial overview on the comments.
The content is managed by a combination of some hand-coded perl and makefiles for the static portions and MovableType for the blog-like bits.
There is a limited amount of advertising on this site which is merely intended to defray the bandwidth costs of hosting. I've tried to make it as unobtrusive as possible, and hopefully it doesn't detract from the appearance or your experience of the site.
